Faribault County Central Services is accepting applications for a full-time, non-union County Engineer in the Faribault County Public Works Department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: managing the operation of the Public Works Department, including the highway and parks departments; establishes programs and budgets for the use of available funding.  Supervises engineering personnel in the design, award and inspection of highway and bridge construction projects.  Supervises personnel in maintenance of the road, bridge and park systems.  Communicates with the County Board of Commissioners and other governmental agencies and the general public concerning departmental business.

Required qualifications include: A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with six years of civil engineering experience and three years in a responsible management position; or and equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.  Registration of Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota is required.

 

Position is based on a 40-hour work week. Wage (D-63) is $46.60 – $64.79 per hour, proposed range as of April 2024 is Grade 13 $51.20 - $69.78 per hour. Starting wage is based on qualifications and experience.
