Ag & Weed Inspector

A County Agricultural Inspector (CAI) must be appointed by law for each of the states' 87 counties by the Board of Commissioners. The duties of this position are to see that all laws and rules dealing with noxious weeds are carried out within their jurisdiction. These inspectors also assist the Minnesota Department of Agriculture with laws regarding seeds, feeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and plant pests.
