Central Services Department
Faribault County Central Services is accepting applications for Central Services Assistant. This position provides support and administrative assistance to the Human Resources Director and County Coordinator. It involves duties that require specialized knowledge of policies and procedures related to accurate recording and maintenance of workers compensation, insurance, payroll, personnel, county board meetings, and other public and department records. Performs routine clerical tasks such as customer service, data-entry, filing, answering phones, department accounts payable, and other duties as assigned. 
 

Knowledge required includes intermediate knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Software and considerable knowledge regarding personnel administration. Skills and abilities required include strong verbal and written communication skills, high-quality customer service, attention to detail, ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality, and the ability to work well with others. Knowledge of organization and operation of County government preferred.

Minimum requirements are high school diploma or G.E.D. with 1 year of clerical work experience; 2 years post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Office Management, or related field and 2 years relevant work experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job.

This is a full-time, non-union position at 37.5 hours per week.  Wage range (B24) $22.37 - $29.31 an hour.
