Certificate of Real Estate Value

Form to be completed if total consideration is over $1,000.00. Contact the Auditor's Office for forms or with questions or go to the Recorder Real Estate page.

State Deed Tax

Well information

Delinquent Real Estate Taxes

Must be paid. Contact Faribault County Auditor’s Office with questions.

Current taxes must be paid in full and a survey may be required. Faribault County Soil & Water has information on the requirements regarding County Variances when dividing real estate parcels in rural Faribault County.

Most Common Reasons Real Estate Documents are Returned Without Recording

  1. Notary acknowledgment is not complete.
  2. Well information is missing from a transferring document.
  3. The draftsman statement is missing.
  4. The legal description is not consistent or is questionable when compared to records.
  5. The recording fee included is incorrect.
  6. Delinquent real estate taxes due.
  7. Missing Certificate of Real Estate Value (CRV) or CRV is not complete.
  8. Incorrect Deed Tax.
  9. Incorrect mortgage registration tax.
