PRESS RELEASE

Incident Summary:

The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating a series of burglaries that have occurred at multiple properties over the past six months. During the commission of one of the burglaries, the suspects left behind a trailer at one of the burglarized properties.

On 04/14/2024, at approximately 3:27am, the Faribault County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) was notified that the trailer left behind at the burglarized property had been moved. Deputies were able to track the trailer and observed a 2002 Dodge Dakota pulling the trailer into a driveway at a residence located at 141 5^th Ave SW Winnebago, MN 56098. Deputies then made contact with the occupants and subsequently arrested them.

The occupants of the Dakota are identified as:

• Nicole Marie Blum, a 41 year old female of Winnebago, MN
  • Blum is being held at the Faribault County Jail on probable cause felony 3^rd Degree Burglary, gross misdemeanor Receiving Stolen Property, and gross misdemeanor 5^th Degree Controlled Substance Possession.
• Dustin Patrick Reinhart, a 37 year old male of Blue Earth, MN
  • Reinhart is being held at the Faribault County Jail on probable cause felony 3^rd Degree Burglary, gross misdemeanor Receiving Stolen Property, and gross misdemeanor 5^th Degree Controlled Substance Possession.
  • Reinhart also had an outstanding gross misdemeanor arrest warrant out of Martin County, MN

Deputies executed a series of search warrants at 141 5^th Ave SW and seized controlled substances and recovered stolen property.

On 04/12/2024, at approximately 9:26am, FCSO assisted the MN Department of Corrections – Probation (MNDOC) with a probation compliance check on Cain Buster Waltermann, a 43 year old male, at his residence located at 249 6^th Ave SW Winnebago, MN 56098.

While assisting MNDOC, deputies observed stolen property within Waltermann’s residence. Waltermann was then arrested for violating his probation conditions.

The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office executed a series of search warrants at Waltermann’s address and seized/recovered controlled substances, a firearm, ammunition, and a large number of stolen items from multiple burglaries.

Waltermann is currently being held at the Faribault County Jail on probable cause:

The incidents at both Winnebago residences are believed to be related and remain under investigation by the Faribault County Sheriff's Office.
