Staff Engineer

Faribault County Central Services is accepting applications for a full-time, Staff Engineer in the Faribault County Public Works Department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing technical and complex highway engineering design and analysis, which may include determination of data collection needs, geometric design, pavement design, hydrologic and hydraulic design, interpreting state and federal regulations, preparation of environmental permits and reports and determining right-of-way and highway easement needs. This position is responsible for the preparation of project bid documentation, including proposals, project plans and specifications, engineer's estimate, and special provisions. 

Required qualifications include: A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination administered by NCEES, or the ability to obtain within six (6) months, plus additional Mn DOT or University of Minnesota Certification(s) may be required. Valid Class D Driver's License or evidence of mobility.

Position is based on a 40-hour work week. Wage is $27.30 – $33.87 per hour. Starting wage is based on qualifications and experience.
