Faribault County Central Services is accepting applications for one union position as Senior Auditor Clerk.

The Senior Auditor Clerk applies specialized knowledge pertaining to record filing, input, and verification in the areas of election administration, accounts payable, payroll, real estate activities, taxation, delinquency, and forfeitures.

Essential duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

  1. Collects, prepares, balances, and processes County payroll checks and issues reports as required.
  2. Assists in maintaining all election administration systems & equipment for state, county and local elections include updating and maintaining voter registrations computer and card file records based on established practices.  Assists in updating and maintaining election data and systems for all state, county and local elections.
  3. Inputs, verifies and maintains real estate activities such as transfers, deeds, certificate of real estate value, etc.  based on established practices in area. 
  4. Assists in collecting, calculating, administering, and preparing notices relating to property tax rates, delinquency and forfeiture based on established guidelines and special assessments.
  5. Addresses customers questions via phone and personal contact.
  6. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned.

Knowledge required: computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite products, record keeping practices, and general office procedures.

Knowledge preferred: basic understanding of real estate transactions and County property tax system.

Minimum requirements include high school diploma or G.E.D and post-secondary training in business or management field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

This is a full-time, union position at 37.5 hours per week.  Wage range is $21.04 - $27.06 per hour for 2023.
