Part Time Jailer/Dispatcher

Faribault County Central Services is accepting applications for a non-union part-time Dispatcher/Jailer in the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office.

Main duties will include Jailer but will serve as backup for Dispatch duties as needed.  Jailer duties include maintaining orderly and secure supervision of inmates. Dispatch duties include skillful and prompt operation of radio, computer, and telephone for law enforcement purposes. The applicant must have the ability to understand, interpret, and be responsible for maintaining compliance with established rules and regulations within the Sheriff’s Office; as well as understand data privacy laws and inmate legal rights.  Must be able to act without direct supervision, multitask, and exercise good judgment in meeting emergencies. Good keyboarding/computer skills are required, CPR/First Aid training helpful but not required.  Minimum age is 18. Training required annually.  Wage is $ 20.13/hour.
