PRESS RELEASE

Case: Motor Vehicle Accident With Injuries

Date: October 20, 2019

On October 19, 2019 at approximately 1503 hours Faribault County Deputies responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles and six injured parties near the intersection of 30th Street and 400th Avenue in Elmore Township.

Deputies arrived on scene and learned a 2000 Ford F350 and a 2004 Lincoln Continental collided at the intersection of 30th Street and 400th Avenue and the 2000 Ford F350 rolled over and landed on the roof. The male driver of the truck was identified as Matthew Franklin Beck (30) of Elmore, Minnesota and a juvenile male was identified as a passenger in the truck. Both occupants were transported by ambulance to the United Hospital District Emergency Department in Blue Earth, MN.

The driver of the 2004 Lincoln Continental was identified as Cynthia Ann Metz (63) of Springfield, Illinois. The three passengers of the vehicle were identified as James Richard Kurtock (92) of Bloomington, Illinois; Janice Lee Chiaradonna (63) of Fernandina Beach, Florida and Julie Ann Kurtock (66) of Cleveland, Ohio. All four occupants were transported by ambulance to the United Hospital District Emergency Department in Blue Earth, MN.

The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Blue Earth Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Blue Earth Fire Department, Blue Earth Ambulance, Elmore Fire Department, Elmore First Responders, Frost Ambulance and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service Helicopter.
