The License Bureau is located in the Faribault County Office Building at 412 North Nicollet Street in Blue Earth.
Keep a portion of your money in your county!
The filing fee for vehicle registration renewals is kept in the county if you do your renewal through our office. If you mail your renewal to the state the filing fee is kept at the state. If you cannot make it to our office, you can mail your vehicle registration renewal to us. The turn around time is a few days rather than a couple of weeks if sent to the state. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 130, Blue Earth MN 56013.
Our office provides:
Motor Vehicle registration and titling; passenger vehicles, trucks, trailers, and recreational.
Driver License & Instruction Permit renewal (no testing) and Identification Cards.
DNR licensing, such as boats, snowmobiles & ATVs.
"Fast Track" on transfer of titles and renewal of driver's licenses in certain situations for an extra $20 fee. This is a program which allows certain transactions to be expedited, delivering your driver's license or motor vehicle title to you in a matter of days rather than weeks. Stop in or call us to see if your transaction qualifies.
Driver's Exam Hours in Blue Earth: 1st, 3rd, and 5th Fridays 8:30 a.m. - 12 Noon 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. For driving appointments call 507-344-2799, Monday through Friday.
Written Tests at 10:00 a.m. ONLY at the Blue Earth City Library.
